Call for Entries
The 2021 Garden Club of Virginia Juried Entry Form is now available!
- Open to Garden Club of Virginia members only working in the following disciplines; painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, and photography.
- All submitted works must be original (no reproductions), not done under supervision, and not made from kits or patterns.
- All work must be suitably prepared for installation.
- The curator reserves the right to deny entry if any work is deemed not suitable for display or too difficult to install.

2021 JUROR – Ted Batt
Ted has lived in Lynchburg since August of 2004. Ted received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of New Hampshire, and his Masters of Arts degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Ted is Director of the Visual Arts Program at the Academy Center of the Arts and is passionate about the arts. He oversees two annual National Juried exhibitions each year and curates monthly exhibitions of regional and national artists for the Academy.
Ted also manages the May Carter Pottery Studio at the Academy and has been working with clay for over twenty five years. Prior to moving to Lynchburg, Ted operated a fine arts program at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, where he managed galleries, provided live music concerts, and purchased permanent collections of art for new construction.
Ted currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cub Creek Foundation in Appomattox, Virginia.

Entry Fee:
Entry fees are used to offset necessary expenses involved in making the show possible. A non-refundable fee of $25 entitles each artist to submit up to three entries. Make check payable to the Academy Center of the Arts or pay online by contacting Ted Batt by phone at (434)-528-3256 x 127.
