To be put on the waiting list, please contact Kelly at kposenauer@academycenter.org. ___________________________________________ Academy Children’s Theatre is a two-week long children’s theatre camp that begins with an open group audition and culminates in two public performances. Students ages 8 – 12 are cast in a popular family musical that you will love! Everyone who participates in the camp will have a role but there will be auditions will be held for specific parts. This camp will be rehearsing and performing in our Historic Academy of Music Theatre. ___________________________________________ Auditions are Saturday, July 20 from 9:00 – 11:30am. Instructor: Arnulfo Jacinto In this class, students will have the opportunity to express themselves through art while building upon the basic principles and foundations of painting. The class will include lecture and demonstration. While this class is perfect for beginners who are seeking to learn the fundamentals of painting, the lessons and projects will be geared toward individual skill and interest levels and is suitable for intermediate art students. Students will learn the basics of color theory, proper application of paint, and fundamentals of composition and design. Because each student is unique, projects may be altered and one-on-one instruction will be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level. All supplies are included.

Instructor: Arnulfo Jacinto This class is designed for beginner to advanced students who are seeking to express themselves through art while learning and building upon the basic principles and foundations of drawing, including grades of paper and pencils, light and shadow, and perspective. Basic life drawing and understanding of the human anatomy will be introduced by using wood figure models, photographs, and other reference materials. Students will work on drawing the skeletal and muscular structures of the human body and will gain an understanding of proportion, scale, and foreshortening. Because each student is unique, projects may be altered and one-on-one instruction will be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level. Students will be encouraged to produce at least one illustration that will be matted and suitable for framing.
