The Academy Center of the Arts has just announced the Academy at Home Virtual Series, featuring live-streamed performances, follow-along educational tutorials, and living room concerts from area performers, educators, and artists you know and love.
Each week, we’ll stream and release new content via Facebook, YouTube, and our website, allowing you to experience arts and cultural activities straight from your community, back into your home.
Join us for our first Academy at Home live-streamed event as we celebrate National Poetry Month this Friday, April 10, 2020, at 6:00PM EST, in collaboration with The Listening. View performances live as six artists present the power of spoken word. At a time when we feel more alone than ever, these poets work to remind us that we are not. Performers include Jaylin Randolph, Bryan Hancock, Madalyn Sullivan, Elizabeth Haxley, Nick George, and Nakesha Moore.
For more information, see the Academy at Home schedule of events here, and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, or to subscribe to email updates for new announcements and more information regarding Academy at Home programming.
