In this class we will simplify your favorite furry friend into one continuous line + design the background with modern blocks of color. We will use ink + watercolor on quality watercolor paper.
** Please bring 1 – 2 printed 5 X 7 inch photos (on copy paper) of your pet that you would like to recreate.
This isn’t a drop off class, it’s designed for the parent & child to work together.
Instructor : Lauren Harris
Altavista native, art teacher, and artist, Lauren Harris, holds a B.A. in Fine Art from Lynchburg College. Between teaching and chasing her two little boys (+ bulldogs!), she can be found creating pet portraits and watercolor + ink paintings. For eleven years, she has taught middle school and high school art, assisted in the design of the Altavista LOVE sign in 2019, and serves on the AOT Design Committee. She currently teaches online via Virtual Virginia and enjoys teaching in person at The Academy.
