Begin watercolor for the first time or continue to build on what you started and practice. Developing a skill takes time. Students will study still life set-ups and photographs to learn how to see the visual world in terms of color relationships, shadows, light, and quality of edges. Composition, creating light effects, volume, and atmosphere will be discussed in group critiques. Supplies are included.

Instructor: Chanel Harris
Chanel Harris is an independent artist originally from and currently working in Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology. Amidst her studies in New York, Chanel focused her work with mediums such as ink and watercolor, and she experiments with various metallic pigments. Her work dances from whimsical characters to exploring personal subjects from her subconscious that often blur between reality and fantasy.
