8-Week Block Printing Series for Beginners

This 8-week course is designed for complete beginners or those returning to printmaking. Using rubber blocks, you will learn how to create professional-quality black-and-white prints through a step-by-step process.

You will be introduced to the tools and materials needed, learn techniques for carving your block, and the process of inking and printing. Throughout the course, you’ll create at least three prints from your block and learn how to document and organize a print edition.

Rubber block printing offers endless possibilities for creating patterns, artwork, or unique gifts. This technique is perfect for printing on paper, and the blocks can be used repeatedly to produce multiple pieces.

Provided Materials:

  • Rubber blocks
  • Carving tools
  • Printing paper

Optional Items to Bring:
