After selling millions of records and logging thousands of miles on the road, GRAMMY Award-winning band Blues Traveler continues to chart new musical directions evident on their upcoming record Blow Up The Moon. A clever collaboration between various artists, Blow Up The Moon sees Blues Traveler keep an open-minded perspective on making music and enlists an eclectic mix of songwriters influenced by the band’s remarkable 25+ year career.

About the Riverfront Park Concert Series
The Academy Center of the Arts is proud to present a new five-part concert series in Lynchburg’s downtown Riverfront Park. The concert series will feature national, regional, and local music acts and will continue the Academy’s efforts to serve our community through arts and culture by bringing world-class music to our city’s beautiful downtown park.
All concert events are rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Food and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) vendors will be on site.

All ticket sales to the Riverfront Park Concert Series are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets. Tickets purchased with credit/debit cards will include a surcharge.
Please note VIP Tickets must be purchased online or in-person through our Box Office before the event. General Admission tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:
Print at home: This option allows you print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.
Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.
Box Office: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, and have us print your tickets for you.
All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our etix system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.
All four events are rain or shine.
The Academy will do its best to keep you updated through our website close to each event on the weather forecast for the evening of each concert. Events will only be canceled if the weather is severe and unsafe. Severe weather would be defined as, but not limited to; wind, thunder and/or lightning, flooding, or a tornado watch/warning. Safety of our guests, performers, and staff are our main priority in the event of severe weather. The decision to cancel a concert will not be made until the scheduled concert time or shortly thereafter and with the safety of all those in attendance in mind. Please note that refunds will not be available for weather-based issues.
Per the City of Lynchburg’s special event policy, dogs are not allowed to accompany their owners to this event unless they are a service animal. All dogs will be turned away at the gate.
No outside alcohol or food will be permitted at this event.
