Create Lynchburg, rebranded as Create Virginia, returns to the Academy Center of the Arts on March 30, 2019, with Keynote Speaker Lulu Miller of NPR’s Invisibilia!

Create Virginia is an arts and business conference that gives artists and makers opportunities to learn from one another and from state and national experts about how to build and grow sustainable arts-based ventures.

Additional speakers include:

Also included this year is a Friday Open Studio Tour at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) where one of the world’s leading working artist retreats in Amherst will open its doors for a rare look into the studios of writers, visual artists, and composers. Attendees will be welcome to visit the studios of select Fellows in residence and talk to them about their work and the creative process. An Opening Reception will follow.

Registration includes Saturday coffee, Lunch with Keynote Speaker Lulu Miller of NPR’s Invisibilia, and a happy hour reception.

 

Early Bird Conference Registration: $45.00 (Closes 12:00am on March 1, 2019)

Regular Conference Registration: $55.00

Group Registration (3+ persons): $20.00 per person

Student Registration: $20.00

 

Space for the Open Studio tour and reception at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts is limited to the first fifty conference attendees. Be sure to check “Friday VCCA Tour & Reception” at ticket checkout.

Parking:

 

Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. The parking map above shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.

Please note: If attending an event or performance after 5pm or on weekends, Lot 2 (Pacific Life Lot) and Lot 12 (Regional Business Alliance) are free and open to for public use. We suggest utilizing these lots, which are closest to the Academy Center of the Arts and within walking distance.

 


 

Ticketing Policies:

 

All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:

Will Call: Tickets will be held at “will call” at the Box Office up to one hour before the show.

Print at Home: This option allows you to print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.

Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.

Box Office Pick Up: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday through Thursday & Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm, or Friday   12:00pm – 8:00pm, and have us print your tickets for you.

Tickets held at “will call” that are not picked up by the beginning of the show may be re-sold at the discretion of the Box Office staff.

All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.

All ticket sales are subject to credit/debit card processing fees.
