Join the Academy’s Resident Dance Company for an elegant new production of Cinderella, a full-length classic ballet sure to delight the entire family with a charming story of humor, hope, and love.
With a visit from her Fairy Godmother, our heroine is whisked off to the royal ball for an enchanting evening where she meets a handsome Prince and her life changes forever. Set to the moving score by Prokofiev, this classic fairy tale is filled with spellbinding dance and hilarious hijinks for audiences of all ages. From silly mice to sparkling fairies, Cinderella’s cast of characters includes local dancers alongside Charlottesville Ballet’s 30 professional artists hailing from across the U.S. and around the world.

Meet the Ballet: Pre-Show Drinks & Discussion | All-Inclusive VIP event at 6:00pm before 7:00pm performance
Enrich your family experience and join us for a pre-performance lecture to enjoy a cocktail and meet the artists. Get behind the scenes of “Cinderella” with a 30-minute introduction to the performance including discussions of choreography, music, and the process of bringing ballet to the stage. All-inclusive tickets to the Meet the Ballet event (6:00pm) and performance (7:00pm) are only available in the VIP seating section.

Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. The parking map above shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.
Please note: If attending an event or performance after 5pm or on weekends, Lot 2 (Pacific Life Lot) and Lot 12 (Regional Business Alliance) are free and open to for public use. We suggest utilizing these lots, which are closest to the Academy Center of the Arts and within walking distance.
All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:
Will Call: Tickets will be held at “will call” at the Box Office up to one hour before the show.
Print at Home: This option allows you to print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.
Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.
Box Office Pick Up: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday through Thursday & Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm, or Friday 12:00pm – 8:00pm, and have us print your tickets for you.
Tickets held at “will call” that are not picked up by the beginning of the show may be re-sold at the discretion of the Box Office staff.
All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.
All ticket sales are subject to a Historic Theatre Restoration Fee and credit/debit card processing fees.
