In the interest of the welfare of our guests, staff, and volunteers, the Academy Center of the Arts and the Lynchburg Daily Bread has made the decision to remove food and beverage service from the 2021 Empty Bowls event.
This decision is in line with public health guidelines regarding COVID-19, recommendations by state and local health authorities, and made with your health and safety in mind.
The Thirteenth Annual Empty Bowls event to benefit the Lynchburg Daily Bread will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm, at the Academy Center of the Arts Joy & Lynch Christian Warehouse Theatre. While the decision has been made to remove food and beverage service from this event, guests will still be able to pick out their favorite bowl(s) and engage with Lynchburg Daily Bread staff and volunteers.
Guests may also choose to purchase additional bowls while on-site, as inventory allows.
Early Bird ticket holders may line up starting at 10:30am for an 11am – 12:00pm bowl pick up time.
General admission ticket holders may line up starting at 12:00pm for a 12:30pm – 1:30pm bowl pick up time.

General Admission Tickets: $18.00 plus taxes and fees
Please note that purchasing a ticket to this event includes one (1) bowl or soup mug. Food and beverage service will no longer take place at this event in 2021. Proceeds to benefit the Lynchburg Daily Bread.
