The Ninth Annual Empty Bowls event to benefit the Lynchburg Daily Bread will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, at the Academy Center of the Arts Warehouse Theatre.
Cost of the event is $20 per ticket: Ticket price allows patron to select a hand made ceramic bowl, donated by local potters, and includes soup tastings, bread, dessert and beverage, all donated by local restaurants and individual donors. In addition, 24 ceramic vases with flowers will also be for sale, first come, first serve.
This year some of the bowls were created by men and women from Continuum of Care’s event Share the Love. They knew that those bowls wouldn’t be something they kept but instead would be used to raise money for The Daily Bread services that some of them use regularly. We also loved that so many service providers and resource workers stopped by to make a bowl to contribute as well!
