Instructor: Laura Watts

Discover one of art’s most exciting and creative mediums! Using fall leaves as inspiration, we will begin with a basic foundation in alcohol inks and explore our way to making exciting and colorful compositions! Even learn how to make your own ink at home. Come play! Students are encouraged to bring faux leaves, photographs of leaves, or simply share in what our instructor will have for observation.

Artist Bio:

Laura Watts is a former high school art teacher, graphic designer, and interior decorator. She currently, along with her husband Woody, own several creative based businesses (including ghost hunting). If you can’t find her crafting, soap making, or hand lettering, you may find her strolling along the avenue with her pups Ellie & Frances. Laura loves partnering with the Academy because of the tools, opportunities, and inspiration it brings to the community.
