Family Art Saturday : Minimalist Pet Drawing & Watercolor Art

This class was a hit in the spring so we are bringing it back!  Students will learn a minimalist drawing technique to draw their pet and add watercolor to create a framable image for their home.  Please bring an 8×10 color photo of your favorite pet or you can email your image to [email protected] and we can print it here for you.

Instructor: Lauren Harris

Altavista native, art teacher, and artist, Lauren Harris, holds a B.A. in Fine Art from Lynchburg College. Between teaching and chasing her two little boys (+ bulldog!), she can be found creating pet portraits and watercolor + ink paintings. For nine years, she has taught middle school and high school art, assisted in the design of the Altavista LOVE sign in 2019, and serves on the AOT Design Committee. This school year, she is transitioning to teaching online via Virtual Virginia and looks forward to teaching in person at The Academy.
