Join us at the Academy Center of the Art for a Holiday Movie Marathon, featuring 9 of your favorite holiday films back-to-back on the big screen in the newly restored Historic Academy of Music Theatre during Opening Week!
The Holiday Movie Marathon begins on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 10:00am and ends at 2:00am on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
Scheduled films include:
- Mickey’s A Christmas Carol: 10am-10:30am (G)
- Frosty’s Winter Wonderland: 10:35am-11:05am (G)
- How The Grinch Stole Christmas: 11:10am-11:40am (G)
- Disney’s Frozen: 12pm-2pm (PG)
- Elf: 2:15pm-4:05pm (PG)
- It’s A Wonderful Life: 4:20pm-6:55pm (PG)
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation: 7:10pm-9pm (PG-13)
- Love Actually: 9:15pm-11:50pm (R)
- Bad Santa: 12:05am-1:55am (R)
General Admission: $5.00 all day access
Tickets for this event will be sold at the Box Office day-of only. Come early and come often as seating is general admission and may sell out for certain films!

Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. The parking map above shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.
Please note: If attending an event or performance after 5pm or on weekends, Lot 2 (Pacific Life Lot) and Lot 12 (Regional Business Alliance) are free and open to for public use. We suggest utilizing these lots, which are closest to the Academy Center of the Arts and within walking distance.
All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:
Print at home: This option allows you print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.
Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.
Box Office: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, and have us print your tickets for you.
All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.
All ticket sales are subject to a Historic Theatre Restoration Fee and credit/debit card processing fees.
