Beginner- Intermediate Watercolor
ABOUT THIS CLASS
Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or returning to continue building your skills, this Watercolor class is designed to meet you where you are. Beginners will learn the essential foundations of watercolor, including brushwork, water control, color mixing, layering, edges, and value. Returning students will continue strengthening these core techniques while learning to use them more intentionally in increasingly complete paintings.
As the class progresses, we’ll explore how these skills work together through composition, simplifying what you see, deciding what matters most in a painting, and using color, value, marks, and technique to create stronger artwork. The goal isn’t to make painting more complicated—it’s to help you better understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and what you can try when something isn’t working.
Throughout the 14-week session, students will experiment, practice, and build confidence while developing a regular painting habit. Individual instruction and feedback will allow each student to grow at their own pace, making this class an excellent fit for both new and continuing watercolor artists.
