In our class, we will take students through the process of constructing costume pieces for a production. Students can expect an overview of the basic principles of costume design for theater, film, and television, starting with an introduction on the basics of research, a tour of our very own costume shop, and beginner sewing lessons. Then we will put their knowledge into practice by making costume pieces for our summer youth camp show, Disney’s Moana Jr. Each student will get to experience the art of creating visual representations of characters through clothing construction. All supplies will be included.
