In 1922, The John Philip Sousa Band presented a concert at the Academy of Music. The Lynchburg Pops Community Band is commemorating that event 101 years later to the day! The program will feature Sousa marches, patriotic music, orchestral transcriptions of the masters, showpieces featuring soloists, as well as marches by other composers.
