Join the Academy Center of the Arts and BWX Technologies as we continue the Riverfront Park Concert Series with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 7pm!
This FREE concert will feature a tribute to American music and, through the support of BWX Technologies, will honor the City of Lynchburg’s first responders through on-site demonstrations. We’ll have food trucks and adult beverages for sale on-site, and, to top it all off, we’re ending the night with a firework show you won’t want to miss!

About the Riverfront Park Concert Series
The Academy Center of the Arts is proud to present a new five-part concert series in Lynchburg’s downtown Riverfront Park. The concert series will feature national, regional, and local music acts and will continue the Academy’s efforts to serve our community through arts and culture by bringing world-class music to our city’s beautiful downtown park.
All concert events are rain or shine, and picnic friendly. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Food and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) vendors will be onsite. VIP ticket options are also available.

FAQs
All ticket sales to the Riverfront Park Concert Series are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.
Please note VIP Tickets must be purchased online or in-person through our Box Office before the event. Our delivery methods are as follows:
Print at home: This option allows you print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.
Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.
Box Office: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, and have us print your tickets for you.
All four events are rain or shine.
The Academy will do its best to keep you updated through our website close to each event on the weather forecast for the evening of each concert. Events will only be canceled if the weather is severe and unsafe. Severe weather would be defined as, but not limited to; wind, thunder and/or lightning, flooding, or a tornado watch/warning. Safety of our guests, performers, and staff are our main priority in the event of severe weather. The decision to cancel a concert will not be made until the scheduled concert time or shortly thereafter and with the safety of all those in attendance in mind. Please note that refunds will not be available for weather-based issues.

Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra
The LSO has been an integral part of the cultural fabric of Lynchburg since it began in 1983. Over the years the LSO has performed more than 200 concerts ranging from classical to pops; provided annual educational concerts to over 10,000 children at local schools and community centers; given free summer concerts to the community at City Stadium; welcomed athletes from around the globe each September at the Genworth Virginia Ten Miler; and brought celebrities to the area such as Tony Award winning actress and singer, Faith Prince, pianist Gustavo Romero, and country musicians Emmy Lou Harris and Roy Clark.
