Mixing historical techniques with contemporary themes has become all the rage in the art world. This is a class for people who want to challenge themselves conceptually and explore imagery in new ways. We will begin by examining several historical styles and subject matters. You will then select a style that interests you. Together as a group, we will discuss your choice and help you to translate that style into contemporary language. You will then develop your imagery in your choice of medium. If you have felt stuck lately in your artmaking process, this is the class for you.
All supplies will be included.
