Join us at the Academy Center of the Arts for a Holiday Movie Marathon 2021, featuring 8 of your favorite holiday films back-to-back on the big screen in the Historic Academy Theatre!

 

The Holiday Movie Marathon begins on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 9:00am and extends through the late evening. Tickets are available for $5.00 and allow access to the theatre ALL DAY!

 

Scheduled films include:

 

  • 9am – Jack Frost 

  • 10:15am – Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas

  • 11:45am – The Muppet Christmas Carol

  • 1:30pm – The Nightmare Before Christmas

  • 3:00pm – It’s a Wonderful Life

  • 5:30pm – National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

  • 7:45pm – Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas

  • 10pm – Office Christmas Party

 

 

 

Make a day of it and stop by our first Annual Holiday Maker’s Market happening in the Warehouse Theatre on Friday, November 27, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This event includes a special VIP evening with early access to shopping and an exclusive visit from Santa! Enjoy all-day access to the Holiday Maker’s Market on Saturday, November 28, 2021, from 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM right in time for the holiday shopping season.

Age Requirement

All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for this performance unless otherwise stated.

Camera Policy

Videography and audio recording during the performances are prohibited. Photography of the set on stage is allowed pre-show, post-show, and during intermission. But we do ask that you show our designers and visiting performers some love by crediting them (and by tagging us) in your social media posts.

Doors Open

Our lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to show time. House doors open 30 minutes prior to show time for seating.

All indoor performances scheduled at the Academy Center of the Arts normally take place as planned unless otherwise stated.

Ticket Policies

All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:

Print at Home: This option allows you to print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.

Box Office Pick Up: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday through Friday, 12pm – 5pm, and have us print your tickets for you.

All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.

All ticket sales are subject to fees and taxes.

CURRENT ACADEMY HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES 9/24/21

At the Academy Center of the Arts, the health and safety of our patrons, staff, performers, and volunteers is our priority. Like you, we are closely monitoring COVID-19 and its current impact on our community, and are following CDC guidelines and recommendations from local authorities and the Virginia Department of Health.


In response to current CDC recommendations, the requests of our performing artists, and to protect our community, everyone entering the Academy Center of the Arts’ facilities for Academy ticketed performances, classes, and gallery activities will be required to wear a face mask as of September 17, 2021.


– Guests must remain masked at all times, however, masks can be removed momentarily only when eating or drinking.

– Masks must fit snugly and cover the wearer’s nose and mouth.

– Masks will be readily available in our lobbies, galleries, and classrooms for patrons in need.
