This year, the New Year’s Eve Bash at the Academy Center of the Arts’ Historic Theatre is THE place to be!


Spend New Year’s Eve 2018 with your friends in one of the most unique venues in town, partying with RVA’s dynamic No BS! Brass Band on Monday, December 31, 2018.


Head over to the Historic Theatre Lobby at 6:30pm and grab a drink or try one of our NYE Bash Drink specials before finding the perfect seat! And, don’t forget to snap a few photos at the photo booth to remember the night. No BS! Brass Band will take the stage at 7:30pm and rock the house with two 45-minute sets.


But, the party doesn’t stop there! Travel down to the Warehouse Theatre and keep the night going with the New Years Eve Bash After Party, hosted by local band Apple Butter Soul, beginning at 10:00pm. End the night with dancing, drinks, a champagne toast, and countdown to the New Year! Separate tickets are sold for this event at $22.00 and can be purchased here.


Patrons may purchase a ticket to either performance or bundle their tickets at checkout to spend the entire evening celebrating at the Academy. Ticket information can be found below.





Tickets to the New Year’s Eve Bash with NO BS! Brass Band are on sale now, ranging from $25.00 – $107.00. Party in the balconies, hangout in the orchestra, or reserve a Box for a night of celebration.


Tickets in the Balconies and the Orchestra are sold as General Admission seats so you can dance with your friends! Box and Loge seats are assigned.

Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. The parking map above shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.

Please note: If attending an event or performance after 5pm or on weekends, Lot 2 (Pacific Life Lot) and Lot 12 (Regional Business Alliance) are free and open to for public use. We suggest utilizing these lots, which are closest to the Academy Center of the Arts and within walking distance.



Ticketing Policies:


All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:

Will Call: Tickets will be held at “will call” at the Box Office up to one hour before the show.

Print at Home: This option allows you to print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.

Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.

Box Office Pick Up: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday through Thursday & Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm, or Friday   12:00pm – 8:00pm, and have us print your tickets for you.

Tickets held at “will call” that are not picked up by the beginning of the show may be re-sold at the discretion of the Box Office staff.

All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.

All ticket sales are subject to a Historic Theatre Restoration Fee and credit/debit card processing fees.

At the Academy Center of the Arts, the health and safety of our patrons, staff, performers, and volunteers is our priority. Like you, we are closely monitoring COVID-19 and its current impact on our community, and are following CDC guidelines and recommendations from local authorities and the Virginia Department of Health.

In response to current CDC recommendations, the requests of our performing artists, and to protect our community, everyone entering the Academy Center of the Arts’ facilities for Academy ticketed performances, classes, and gallery activities will be required to wear a face mask as of September 17, 2021.

– Guests must remain masked at all times, however, masks can be removed momentarily only when eating or drinking.

– Masks must fit snugly and cover the wearer’s nose and mouth.

– Masks will be readily available in our lobbies, galleries, and classrooms for patrons in need.

Upcoming events that require COVID-19 Vaccination OR Proof of Negative COVID-19 Diagnostic test result are listed at academycenter.org/health-safety-guidelines/.
