Opera on the James Presents:

 La Traviata

Sung in Italian with English Supertitles

La Traviata will bring the splendor of the opera voice to a space that was built to showcase it. This love story of fate and sacrifice is considered Verdi’s most famous opera. Exhausted by her restless life as a courtesan, Violetta knows she will die soon, but then she meets the young and idealistic Alfredo, who offers her true love – with tragic consequences. The title role of the “fallen woman” has captured the imaginations of audiences and performers alike with its inexhaustible vocal and dramatic possibilities and challenges.

Please note: This performance is not an Academy Center of the Arts production.
