Palates and Palettes

A Fundraiser to benefit the Academy Center of the Arts

 


 

The Palates and Palettes fundraiser returns to the Academy Center of the Arts this April, but with a twist!

 

Ticket holders will be able to engage in experiential art and culture at four Academy campus locations. You can hone your improv skills on the Historic Stage, watch a painting come to life in the Harrington Galleries, take part in a photo reveal in our new lobby, and enjoy live music in our outdoor courtyard. Each location and activity will be paired with food and beverage tastings to create a cohesive cultural experience.

 

Tickets include access to the event, food and beverage tastings, and each experience. Non-drinking tickets do not include alcoholic beverage tastings.

 

Art & Tasting Stations:

Station 1: Live bluegrass music and chainsaw art demonstrations in the Historic Theatre Courtyard, paired with BBQ by Fifth & Federal Station and bourbon tastings

Station 2: An Improv comedy workshop on the Historic Theatre stage, paired with Mediterranean Food by Tahini’s and martini tastings

Station 3: A live painting demo by local artist Arnulfo Jacinto in the Harrington Gallery Building, paired with a Grazing Table of fruits, veggies, and dips by Purple Door Catering and wine tastings

Station 4: An interactive mural reveal in the Historic Theatre Lobby, paired with Cinnamon buns by Cinn City and coffee

Drinking: $40.00

Non-Drinking: $25.00

Child: $10.00

Parking:

 

Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. The parking map above shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.

Please note: If attending an event or performance after 5pm or on weekends, Lot 2 (Pacific Life Lot) and Lot 12 (Regional Business Alliance) are free and open to for public use. We suggest utilizing these lots, which are closest to the Academy Center of the Arts and within walking distance.

 


 

Ticketing Policies:

 

All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:

Will Call: Tickets will be held at “will call” at the Box Office up to one hour before the show.

Print at Home: This option allows you to print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.

Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.

Box Office Pick Up: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday through Thursday & Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm, or Friday   12:00pm – 8:00pm, and have us print your tickets for you.

Tickets held at “will call” that are not picked up by the beginning of the show may be re-sold at the discretion of the Box Office staff.

All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.

All ticket sales are subject to a Historic Theatre Restoration Fee and credit/debit card processing fees.
