Students will make a pinch pot. Placing it on its side it willlook like a lrge open mouth. Next, students will add clay pieces to make eyes, tongue, teeth, ears or any appendages to create a monster or their favorite animals. After the monster/animal is made students will add color to their creations. This camp is for ages 6-10 years old.

Kenneth Tinklenberg earned his BFA in Ceramics from Northern Arizona University, a well-renowned program for its many wood kilns and other atmospheric firing processes. He has since attended many ceramic residencies including Starworks in Seagrove North Carolina, considered by many to be “the handmade pottery capital of the United States”. He maintains a business selling functional ceramic wares in Lynchburg Virginia where he lives with his wife and new baby!
