INSTRUCTOR: Arnulfo Jacinto
*PREREQUISITE OF ONE SESSION (4-CLASSES) OF BEGINNER PAINTING
This class is taught by Arnulfo “Arnold” Jacinto, who has years of experience as both an educator and professional artist. In this class, students will have the opportunity to express themselves through art while building upon the basic principles and foundations of painting.
This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced painting students who have attended at least one session (4-classes) of beginner painting. Students will be taught the principles of color theory, how to apply color theory for practical uses, composition & design, and style & technique. Students will have the opportunity to choose their own subject matter for paintings but will be encouraged to implement specific principles from previous classes, including the use of complementary colors and painting without black paint. Because each student is unique, projects may be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level.
Although supplies are included, students will be encouraged to bring larger canvases and to consider purchasing their own advanced student or professional grade brushes. Students may also be given opportunities to be involved in art shows, when available.
Students may also register for the Beginner Painting class for use as studio time, with limited instruction.
