Printmaking : Holiday Cards

Students will design, carve, and print their own holiday cards! Learn the elements of basic printmaking while creating a homemade greeting card that can be printed over and over again. Each student will print up to ten cards during the class and keep their carved rubber stamp for future printing at home. Class recommended for teens and adults.

Instructor : Meg Watson

Meg Weston is a printmaker in Lynchburg, VA, who received her BFA in Studio Art at Randolph College in 2015. Over the years, her work has been shown around Lynchburg and the surrounding counties, and featured in exhibitions at the Warehouse Gallery at the Academy Center of the Arts, the Lynchburg Art Club, and the Bower Center for the Arts. Her piece, Peace Out, was included in the Downtown Lynchburg Association’s Art Alley along the Bluff Walk from 2021-2023. She worked as assistant curator and program manager at Riverviews Artspace and was a former host of the Coffee With Curators podcast. She is currently a board member for James River Arts. When not thinking about making art, Meg can be found reading, playing video games and D&D, or spending time with her husband and two cats.
