The Academy Center of the Arts is pleased to partner again with Brett Thomas of Mobile Raku in hosting a one day Raku workshop on Saturday, June 15 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm at the Academy Center of the Arts. Class size is limited to 20 students, and each student may bring 4-5 pieces (raku clay only bisque cone 06), approximately 5” wide x 12” tall or smaller. Tiles are acceptable however NO BOWLS OR SLABS. If time allows, additional pieces may be fired after everyone has had a turn. Brett will provide his glazes and materials for firing.
Please register early; pieces need to made and bisque fired before June 12. One day class tuition is $85 which includes a 25lb bag of raku clay. Students currently not enrolled in Academy Center pottery classes will have access to the studio to make their pieces. Unused raku clay from this class can be saved for the next Raku workshop!

REFUND POLICY
1. Classes without sufficient enrollment by the registration deadline will be canceled. Fees are 100% refundable for classes canceled by the Academy.
2. 85% of class fees will be refunded if you cancel a week or more before the start of class. If the withdrawal notice is received within one week (7 days) of the class’s first meeting, then there are no refunds issued.
PHOTO POLICY
The Academy Center of the Arts may use photos of students taken during class or events for any marketing promotions including print, web, social media, and video productions. If you or your child wish to not be included please inform the instructor with written notice at the first meeting. Crowd scenes or group photos are exempt.
