Vintage kitchens and old family recipes evoke various nostalgic memories, images, and emotions for all of us. Let’s take those emotions and create with them! In this workshop we will explore how to create a visual representation of your favorite recipe using simple drawings and hand lettering techniques! Finally, we will use basic watercolor painting methods to bring it all together. What a perfect gift this would make for a loved one, or even to hang your own kitchen! Join in the fun won’t you? Bring your favorite (yet simple) recipe with you. All supplies included.

Artist’s Bio:

Laura Watts is a former high school art teacher, graphic designer, and interior decorator. She currently, along with her husband Woody, own several creative based businesses (including ghost hunting). If you can’t find her crafting, soap making, or hand lettering, you may find her strolling along the avenue with her pups Ellie & Frances. Laura loves partnering with the Academy because of the tools, opportunities, and inspiration it brings to the community.
