Young children will love this art camp as they create artwork inspired by children’s storybooks. The instructor will begin each day with story time, reading a fun, engaging picture book, followed by an art project that applies techniques and life lessons found in the book. Throughout the week, kids will hear stories from different cultures and parts of the world, including:

Morocco by Kristine Spanier, MLIS.
A Parrot in the Painting: The Story of Frida Kahlo and Bonita by Thea Feldman
Mexico by Chloe Perkins; illustrated by Tom Woolley.
Lin Yi’s Lantern: A Moon Festival Tale by Brenda Williams; illustrations by Benjamin Lacombe
Anansi the Spider by McDermott
The Mitten: A Ukrainian Folktale adapted and illustrated by Jan Brett.
The Twelve Dancing Princesses originally written by the Brothers Grimm; illustrated by Rachel Isadora.
Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey
