A limited number of VIP packages are available and include the best seats in the house, a Meet and Greet with Cary Elwes, and a signed copy of Elwes’ New York Times best-selling memoir, As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride.


The Academy Center of the Arts staff has been notified that all patrons attending the VIP Meet & Greet with the Artist will be required to show proof of full vaccination records for entryper Cary Elwes. This requirement applies to ticket holders of all ages.

Note that this requirement for vaccination of Meet & Greet attendees is being set by the Artist, rather than the Academy Center of the Arts.

For physical entry to the pre-show Meet & Greet with Cary Elwes, ticket holders will be asked to show proof of VIP tickets as well as a physical copy of their COVID-19 vaccination record cardeither noting:

  • a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccination dated no later than11/6/21, OR
  • one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccination dated no later than 11/6/21

Ticket holders that are unable or unwilling to show proof of vaccination may contact the Box Office in advance by phone at (434) 846-8499, M-F, 12PM-5PM, or by email at [email protected] to coordinate a refund or ticket exchange for non-vip access.

Age Requirement

All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for this performance unless otherwise stated. All ages are welcome.

Camera Policy

Videography and audio recording during the performances are prohibited. Photography of the set on stage is allowed pre-show, post-show, and during intermission. But we do ask that you show our designers and visiting performers some love by crediting them (and by tagging us) in your social media posts.

Doors Open

Our lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to show time. House doors open 30 minutes prior to show time for seating.

Inclement Weather

All indoor performances scheduled at the Academy Center of the Arts normally take place as planned unless otherwise stated.


Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. The parking map above shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.

Please note: If attending an event or performance after 5pm or on weekends, Lot 2 (Pacific Life Lot) and Lot 12 (Regional Business Alliance) are free and open to for public use. We suggest utilizing these lots, which are closest to the Academy Center of the Arts and within walking distance.

Ticket Policies

All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:

Will Call: Tickets will be held at “will call” at the Box Office up to one hour before the show.

Print at Home: This option allows you to print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.

Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.

Box Office Pick Up: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday through Thursday & Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm, or Friday   12:00pm – 8:00pm, and have us print your tickets for you.

Tickets held at “will call” that are not picked up by the beginning of the show may be re-sold at the discretion of the Box Office staff.

All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.

All ticket sales are subject to a Historic Theatre Restoration Fee and credit/debit card processing fees.
