“From Colorado, I grew up with a great appreciation and awe for the natural beauty of my surroundings. Since I was a teenager, creating art has been a passion of mine. Then, around 2019, shortly after moving to Virginia, I chose to start sharing my work publicly. I love connecting with others through my paintings.

 

I believe I have been designed to create and reflect the image of my creator. I focus on using color to create softness and a sense of light in my work. With the exception of some commissions, my inspiration comes from my own life experiences, and I use my own reference photos when needed. 

 

Because my inspiration comes from life and the local scenery in Virginia, I enjoy painting outdoors or “en plein air” on a regular basis, as well as doing some work in my home studio.

 

I have explored various subjects but continue to be drawn to the still, quiet places. The places where one can reflect and grow. When I am not painting such a landscape, I find myself intrigued by the delicate beauty of florals, the kind that only lasts for a brief moment in time.

 

I have been blessed and humbled to see my art resonate with so many different audiences and am very thankful for all the ways I have been supported in this journey by friends, family, and collectors.”
