Young, Lit, and Free is a creative and performance writing program for teens 11-18 years old. The program consists of a 12-week class, based on the GET LIT curriculum, that will take place once a week, after school at the Academy Center of the Arts. Students will have the opportunity to perform their material at monthly open mics which will take place last Fridays in which the curriculum was taught.

A local author and poet leading The Listening Inc. as Co-Executive Director of Programming and Development. She currently teaches in the Lynchburg City Schools community and enjoys teaching youth in the area ways to navigate education by expressing their genius through creativity.
