Instructor: Arnulfo Jacinto In this class, students will have the opportunity to express themselves through art while building upon the basic principles and foundations of drawing, including different grades of paper and pencils, light and shadow, and perspective. Because each student is unique, projects may be altered and one-on-one instruction will be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level. All supplies included. Artist’s Bio: Arnulfo, aka “Arnold” or “Nuffy”, is a native of Santa Paula, California, which is located about an hour north of Los Angeles.  He has had multiple successes in both the athletic and art fields. He competed in the 1984 Olympics in Sprint Canoe Kayak and later went on to become a National coach at the Olympic Training Centers in Lake Placid, New York and San Diego, California.  After working as a firefighter for 7 years, he decided to return to school and graduated from the University of Southern California’s Roski School of Art and Designs with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.  Arnold went on to work on set designs and became the airbrush supervisor for the motion picture “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and billboard campaigns such as “Godzilla”, “The Mask…

Instructor: Arnulfo Jacinto This class is designed for beginner to advanced students who are seeking to express themselves through art while learning and building upon the basic principles and foundations of drawing, including grades of paper and pencils, light and shadow, and perspective. Basic life drawing and understanding of the human anatomy will be introduced by using wood figure models, photographs, and other reference materials. Palette Knife Painting: Winter Landscapes

Instructor: Alice Glass Students will work alongside artist Alice Glass as she takes them through her process of painting with a palette knife. The instructor will use a landscape as her inspiration for this piece and will show students how she utilizes different techniques to create her art. Much of this class will be demonstration based but students will come out with their own paintings by the end of class. Supplies are included. Artist’s Bio: Raised in a family brimming with commercial and fine artists, Alice Glass has always had a deep love for art, but didn’t start painting until early 2015. Her first experimental paintings gave way to a variety of subject matter including abstracts, florals, landscapes, Mediterranean villages, beaches, still life, and commissioned pieces of family houses and pets. Most of Alice’s work features bright and colorful acrylic paint on canvas, and most of her work is produced exclusively with her favorite selection of palette knives. Alice’s style is to quickly create her subject matter with broad painterly strokes leaving thick, expressive bands and pods of colors mixed on her palette board as well as the canvas itself.
