Instructor Anna Ellis will teach students how to make objects related to Indian animals: Camel mugs Elephant sculpture, Tiger wall hanging and Bear bowl. REFUND POLICY Classes without sufficient enrollment by the registration deadline will be canceled. The class will include lecture and demonstration. This class is designed for beginners who are seeking to learn the fundamentals of painting, and the lessons and projects will be geared toward individual skill and interest levels. Because each student is unique, projects may be altered, and one-on-one instruction will be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level. Intermediate to Advanced students may register to use this class as studio time, with limited instruction.

INSTRUCTOR: Arnulfo Jacinto *PREREQUISITE OF ONE SESSION (4-CLASSES) OF BEGINNER PAINTING This class is taught by Arnulfo “Arnold” Jacinto, who has years of experience as both an educator and professional artist. In this class, students will have the opportunity to express themselves through art while building upon the basic principles and foundations of painting. This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced painting students who have attended at least one session (4-classes) of beginner painting. Students will be taught the principles of color theory, how to apply color theory for practical uses, composition & design, and style & technique. Students will have the opportunity to choose their own subject matter for paintings but will be encouraged to implement specific principles from previous classes, including the use of complementary colors and painting without black paint. Because each student is unique, projects may be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level. Although supplies are included, students will be encouraged to bring larger canvases and to consider purchasing their own advanced student or professional grade brushes. INSTRUCTOR: Kenny Weinfurtner Learn about the design system of the masters. This class investigates the Golden Rectangle as devised by the Greeks, Harmonic Proportions as per Pythagoras and utilized by Renaissance artists and a third compositional method called the Eye of the Rectangle. These proportioning procedures help the artist position objects and focal points within the picture plane in unique and interesting ways. Students will apply these systems to successful works of art to see how, why and if they work. Lecture with some hands on learning. All supplies are included.
