Interactive Online Art Classes Now Offered by Academy amid COVID-19

April 27, 2020

In response to the current stay-at-home order amid COVID-19, the Academy Center of the Arts and its staff have pivoted their regular education strategies to adjust for online learning, allowing our students and their families the opportunity to enroll in interactive online Zoom courses, beginning in the month of May.

The Academy has just announced 16 NEW interactive online art courses for students of all ages, covering topics like traditional painting and drawing, to theatrical skills, storytelling, and photography! Classes are being offered as single-day or multi-week classes, and are held via Zoom. With all the necessary supplies included, these classes are the perfect way to engage in arts and culture through the help of a talented instructor, all from the comfort of your own space.

Try your hand at acrylic pour painting to spruce up the art on your walls at home, or enroll your toddler in Mr. T’s Tot Time for 45-minutes of fun while using ordinary household items and turning them into extraordinary ideas with the help of instructor Tremayne Edwards. Register for a Mommy & Me painting class and create your own matching masterpieces, or learn how to use your smartphone to beautifully capture all of the moments you’re sharing with your family during this time!
