The Restoration of The 1905 Historic Academy of Music Theatre

A NOTABLE LYNCHBURG TREASURE: The Historic Academy of Music Theatre is one of Lynchburg’s most notable historical treasures. When it first opened on February 1, 1905, the theatre boasted perfect sightlines, extraordinary acoustics and the ability to attract nationally acclaimed performing artists. Closed in 1958, the theatre is now under restoration to return the building to its original state.
