April 3, 2020

ACADEMY HOSTS  VIRTUAL FIRST FRIDAYS EVENT TO BRING ARTS ACCESS TO ALL

(Lynchburg, VA) The Academy Center of the Arts hosts their upcoming First Fridays Exhibition, featuring the 2020 National Juried Art Exhibition, virtually on Friday, April 3, 2020, at 5:00 PM. Venture through the Virtual Exhibition in 360 video or view photos of each juried art piece online by visiting the Academy’s Facebook page or their website online at academycenter.org/first-fridays-virtual.

“While our galleries are currently closed to the public as COVID-19 impacts our community, it is important that the arts and our artist’s work remain accessible,” said Ted Batt, Director of Visual Arts. “We invite you to join us online and experience this month’s gallery exhibit virtually.”

In addition to being able to view the 2020 National Juried Art Exhibition, viewers will also find footage of the 2020 National Juried Art Juror, Jeffery W. Allison, sharing his ‘Art Talk’ and awarding cash prizes for the exhibition.
