The Hunchback of Notre Dame

This camp is for theatre lovers! High School students will learn and perform The Hunchback of Notre Dame during this 4 week long summer camp. Everyone who registers will have a role but there will be auditions for specific parts. This camp will be rehearsing and performing in our Historic Theatre. _____________________________________________________________ ABOUT THE SHOW: Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre Dame showcases the film’s Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz. Peter Parnell’s new book embraces story theatre and features verbatim passages from Hugo’s gothic novel. The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be "Out There," observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful Romani woman, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though – the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all. A sweeping score and powerful story make The Hunchback of Notre Dame an instant classic. Audiences will be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable musical. ___________________________________________________________ Payment plans and Education Access Program discounts are available! Little Mermaid

Disney's The Little Mermaid, JR. SOLD OUT

**THIS CAMP IS SOLD OUT -- please email [email protected] if you'd like to be put on the waiting list. This camp is for theatre lovers! Middle School students will learn and perform The Little Mermaid, JR during this spring break camp. Everyone who registers will have a role but there will be auditions for specific parts. This camp will be rehearsing and performing in our Historic Theatre. _____________________________________________________________ ABOUT THE SHOW: Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking. Written to flow seamlessly between land and sea, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. provides plenty of opportunities to bring these locations to life through creative movement and configurations. The fantasy of being underwater means your entire cast and crew can let their imaginations run wild.

Schoolhouse Rock LIVE! JR. SOLD OUT

This camp is for theatre lovers! Students ages 8-12, will learn and perform Schoolhouse Rock LIVE, JR during this spring break camp. Everyone who registers will have a role but there will be auditions for specific parts. This camp will be rehearsing and performing in our Historic Theatre. _____________________________________________________________ ABOUT THE SHOW: The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop culture phenomenon is now the basis for one of the most fun and easily mounted musicals ever to hit the stage, Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR. A loose, revue-like structure allows for a great deal of flexibility in staging and cast size in this energetic musical, which follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life. Set and costume design can be as simple or complex as your budget or imagination allow and, because most of the songs are so easy to learn, rehearsals are bound to be a snap. Perfect for young performers of all ages and experience levels, Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR. is a surefire hit amongst actors and audiences alike.
