Vendor Eligibility

  1. Artists under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  2. All works must be original creations of the exhibiting artist.  This is a clay-specific show. Other vendors may apply, but will not be eligible for the juried/awards portion of the event.
  3. All applicants must submit three clear color photographs of their work PLUS photos of their booth to be juried by a selection panel.  Images should be current and be a proper representation of what the artist will display at the show.  Artist statements/photos and demo proposals are shared and reviewed by the jurors.  Wait-listed artists will be notified when space becomes available.
  4. Spaces may not be shared.
  5. In the event of inclement weather, all actives will move inside the Academy Warehouse Theatre.  This may change the available space for your setup.  Tents are not permitted indoors.

Application / Jury Fee $35.  Nonrefundable to Academy Center of the Arts.

Booth fee is $100 and is due with application fee and payable to Academy Center of the Arts for a 10’ x 10’ booth.  The booth fee is refunded only if the applicant is not juried into the show.

    I hereby release and forever discharge the Academy Center of the Arts, Pacific Life, Lynchburg Tourism, and the city of Lynchburg and all staff and volunteers from any responsibility, personal liability, loss and/ or damage in connection with the Academy Clay Festival and agree to abide by all rules and regulations accompanying this application. Failure to honor festival rules and regulations can result in an artist's immediate dismissal from the show. I understand and agree to all the rules and regulations in the application for the Academy Clay Festival.
    I understand and agree with the following: Acceptance into this festival is at the discretion of the Academy and I may not be accepted to participate. All applications are due by July 31, 2024. Confirmation or rejection will be sent after the application has been reviewed by the Academy after August 14, 2024. By submitting this form, I will follow all rules and regulations of the venue and if I do not adhere to all regulations or if I misrepresent myself or my work, I will be asked to leave the festival. The Academy Center of the Arts is not responsible for personal injury, property damage, or theft during the show nor will they be held responsible for any financial commitments and/or obligations undertaken by an individual, business, or organization. If the festival is canceled due to inclement weather, the entry fee is not refundable. There is no alternate date for the festival, but every effort will be made to have the event go on as scheduled.
