Calling all educators! Visit us at the Academy for your next field trip.
With over 100 years of rich history, strong visual arts, and the opportunity for hands-on engagement, The Academy Center of the Arts is a wonderful field trip opportunity that meets Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) requirements or homeschool curriculum and provides a fulfilling experience for everyone in attendance. On our campus, students can see multiple Galleries, our Art + Pottery Studios, and even learn all about our Historic Academy Theatre. In addition, all students will have an art experience of your choosing in our Arts and Education Building. Our field trips are dynamic and change based on what is shown inside our galleries each month. You also have the opportunity to choose a visual arts experience, a performing arts experience, or both.
- Early Learning – Ages 4-6 – $7 per Student
- Visual Arts Focus – $10 per Student
- Performance Arts Focus – $10 per Student
- Visual & Performing Arts – $15 per Student
*Tours available Tuesday – Friday Each of our educational tours is $15 per student and parent chaperone. Complimentary admission is not applicable for children (3ys & older) of Farm Club Members, and Military ID Holders for School Tours. Promotional offers are not applicable for School Tours. With each field trip, 1 teacher is free for every 15 students with a minimum of 15 students.
