Art Instructor

The Academy Center of the Arts seeks creative and experienced mixed media/visual arts/dance/music instructors for youth and adult art, movement and dance classes, workshops, and outreach programs. We have a special need for instructors who enjoy working with students from Pre-K through 6th grade. Areas of concentration may include painting, drawing, mixed media, ballet, hip-hop, digital media, photography, and more.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong professional experience in their respective discipline, experience teaching children, teens and/or adults; and will possess a passion for creative youth development. Teaching artists must have strong classroom management skills.  Compensation will be $25-30/hour

Summer Art Inventory and Social Media Management Intern

Supervisor: Online Art Curator and Art Sales Manager

Status: Internship

Schedule: Flexible hours, Monday-Friday, June-August

Salary: Unpaid (may be for academic credit if desired)

 

Summary

The Academy is seeking enthusiastic candidates for the Summer Art Inventory and Social Media Management Internship. Ideal applicants should demonstrate an interest or appreciation for the arts, organizational skills, and a passion for digital communication. As part of this internship, you will play a vital role in managing art inventory, website postings, and social media content during the vibrant summer season at the Academy.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

● Manage and update art inventory records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

● Collaborate with the team to organize and post artwork on the website.

● Curate and create engaging content for social media platforms.

● Capture behind-the-scenes events, interviews, and art installations through photography and videography.

● Assist in coordinating and executing social media campaigns.

 

Minimum Qualifications

● High school diploma.

● Passion or appreciation for the arts and digital communication.

● Excellent communication skills.

● Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications

● Completed or pursuant of a Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Art- Related Major

● Passion or appreciation for the arts and digital communication.
