As summer comes to a close, we at The Academy want to take a moment to spotlight the two fantastic interns, Chloe and Abby, that have spent their summers with us!
Chloe and Abby are both students at Liberty University with a passion for events and hospitality, and worked with our Operations team for the past few months, as well as assisted with numerous other projects around campus. They’ve worked on updating the flow of event spaces, organized and updated prop rooms and storage, planned internal events, hung posters, assisted with summer camps, researched purchases and future possible events, and so much more!
“Chloe and Abby were both fantastic interns, and checked every task off of our list of projects for the summer! They were both self-starters, able to work independently and with such a positive attitude!” says Chief Operating Officer Tabitha Abbott.

Chloe
Background: Finishing up a final semester at Liberty, with a major in Commercial Music Performance and a minor in Business.
Why the Academy? I wanted to stay local and The Academy is at the blazing forefront of arts and entertainment in the area.
Favorite Moment as an Intern: Planning the staff social! Planning the menu, shopping for, and making the food was really fun!
Why I Loved Interning Here: Being in the office and talking to the staff is such a good time. I loved that we got to pick and choose which projects to work on based on our specialties. It was also really fun!
Abby
Background: Graduated this year from Liberty, with a degree in Hospitality Management with a focus on event planning.
Why the Academy? Most internships in hospitality are in D.C. or further away, but The Academy’s internship program is applicable to what I want to do, which is event planning!
Favorite Moment as an Intern: Finishing up huge projects faster than expected, and surprising everyone with how quickly we finished and how great it looks!
Why I Loved Interning Here: It’s really fun and unlike how some jobs are, I never dreaded coming in! I’ve really enjoyed being here and would definitely recommend interning at The Academy to others!
