The United States Air Force Heritage of America Band is proud to present Heritage Brass, a pioneering symphonic brass ensemble. Bringing the military tradition of brass and percussion to the concert stage, Heritage Brass presents programs that are both exhilarating and intimate.
Representing Air Force professionals serving across the globe, Heritage Brass showcases the service’s excellence and precision in every performance throughout the eastern seaboard, from South Carolina to Maine. Comprised of ten brass players and percussion, the ensemble maintains a rigorous performance schedule presenting a diverse repertoire featuring orchestral transcriptions, patriotic favorites, jazz standards, new compositions and distinctive arrangements. Whether performing in a concert hall, an educational venue, a large sporting event, or in support of a military function, their innovative approach allows them to perform both as a large symphonic group and an intimate chamber ensemble.
As professional Airman-musicians, Heritage Brass is committed to inspiring our American public, communicating our Air Force Core Values, and honoring our nation’s veteran’s through the power of music. They are proud to represent our nation’s Airmen who fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace.

Know Before You Go:
All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for this performance unless otherwise stated. All ages are welcome.
Videography and audio recording during the performances are prohibited. Photography of the set on stage is allowed pre-show, post-show, and during intermission. But we do ask that you show our designers and visiting performers some love by crediting them (and by tagging us) in your social media posts.
The Academy Center of the Arts offers a diverse selection of entertainment. Not all productions may appeal to or be appropriate for every guest or for all ages. Ticket buyers should take responsibility for making informed decisions regarding their purchases. We recommend visiting the official show website of each show you are coming to see at the Academy. Our lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to show time.
All indoor performances scheduled at the Academy Center of the Arts normally take place as planned unless otherwise stated.
Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. The parking map above shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.
Please note: If attending an event or performance after 5pm or on weekends, Lot 2 (Pacific Life Lot) and Lot 12 (Regional Business Alliance) are free and open to for public use. We suggest utilizing these lots, which are closest to the Academy Center of the Arts and within walking distance.
All ticket sales are final. There will be NO REFUNDS or exchanges for purchased tickets.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Our delivery methods are as follows:
Will Call: Tickets will be held at “will call” at the Box Office up to one hour before the show.
Print at Home: This option allows you to print your tickets at home or access them on a mobile device via email.
Regular Mail: For an additional fee, your tickets will be mailed to you ahead of the event.
Box Office Pick Up: You may stop by our Box Office, Monday through Thursday, 10:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 12:00pm – 8:00pm, or Saturday 12:00pm – 4:00pm and have us print your tickets for you.
Tickets held at “will call” that are not picked up by the beginning of the show may be re-sold at the discretion of the Box Office staff.
All tickets for this show will be sold through academycenter.org and our ticketing system. Please do not use third-party resellers, as we do not contract with them. Should you use a reseller, the Academy Center of the Arts will not be liable for any issues with your purchase.
All ticket sales are subject to a Historic Theatre Restoration Fee and credit/debit card processing fees.
