Group Exhibition – Wax, Wind, and Fire
Featuring Amanda Smith, Christine Rooney, Giselle Gautreau, Gina Louthian-Stanley, and Gail Haile
Wax, Wind, and Fire brings together five accomplished encaustic artists whose works are inspired by nature, spirit, and transformation. Amanda Smith’s pieces serve as quiet altarpieces—offerings of reverence to the divine found in natural landscapes. Christine Rooney works through a process of conceal and reveal, using fire and layered wax to expose unexpected patterns and colors. Giselle Gautreau explores imagined geographies through map-inspired forms, drawing from environmental shifts and personal memory.
Gina Louthian-Stanley builds emotional and visual depth through rich layers of wax and monotype printmaking, allowing each piece to unfold intuitively. Gail Haile’s work merges photography and encaustic, inviting viewers to rediscover the subtle, often-overlooked beauty in natural textures and patterns. Though their methods vary, each artist transforms wax into a vessel of reflection—connecting the physical and spiritual through their elemental practices.
This immersive exhibition invites you to experience the sensory richness of encaustic art shaped by earth, air, and flame. ✨ Meet the artists, enjoy live music, and let the evening move you—through texture, story, and creative energy.
