The Lavender Lodge and the Academy Center of the Arts present the Big Gay Dance Party: A Pride Celebration! Dance the night away to queer anthems, grab a drink at the bar, fuel up on tasty snacks, and party your heart out with us for the third year in a row.
LGBTQIA+ people and allies ages 21+ are welcome. Wear whatever makes your heart sing, whether that’s a sparkly club fit, a fancy ballgown, a dapper suit, or jeans and a t-shirt. This isn’t just a party; it’s a celebration of love, freedom, and self-expression. Tonight’s about being authentically, radically you.
About the Lavender Lodge:
The Lavender Lodge is a free queer community space in the heart of Lynchburg, VA. In a culture that can be hostile to our existence, we’re committed to promoting queer joy and flourishing. We uplift the LGBTQIA+ community by serving as a physical hub for community events, facilitating meaningful connections, providing resources like mental health programming and professional networking opportunities, and more.

Videography and audio recording during the performances are prohibited. Photography of the set on stage is allowed pre-show, post-show, and during intermission. But we do ask that you show our designers and visiting performers some love by crediting them (and by tagging us) in your social media posts.

Doors Open
Unless otherwise noted, our lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to show time and house doors open 30 minutes prior to show time for seating.

Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. Our parking map (linked below) shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.
