Magnolia Foods – Alice Glass – Acrylic Paintings

Alice Glass, a Lynchburg-based artist, comes from a family rich in both commercial and fine art, which fostered her deep passion for creativity from a young age. Although Alice’s love for art has been lifelong, she began painting professionally in 2015. Her early explorations quickly evolved into a diverse body of work that spans abstracts, florals, landscapes, Mediterranean villages, beaches, portraits, and commissioned pieces, including family homes and pet portraits.

Alice’s vibrant and expressive pieces are characterized by her use of bright acrylics on canvas, canvas board, and watercolor paper. Her preferred tool, the palette knife, allows her to create bold, painterly strokes that lend a unique texture and energy to each painting. In under six years, she has produced over 1,800 works, with more than 650 pieces residing in private collections across the region.

With her art featured in numerous galleries and in over a dozen solo exhibitions, Alice continues to leave a remarkable impact on the local art scene. A graduate of Mary Baldwin College and a resident of Lynchburg for over 35 years, her work brings color and life to every space it inhabits.
