Join Lynchburg Beacon of Hope for HOPEx, our 4th annual evening of storytelling and inspiration. This year’s theme, “The Art of Change,” invites the audience to explore change and how it shapes our lives and the world around us. Featuring a diverse lineup of creators, entrepreneurs, and Lynchburg City Schools alumni, this event delves into the creative processes, personal journeys, and simple ideas that drive progress and create change.

Each speaker will offer unique perspectives on change—whether in the arts, social justice, business, or personal development. Mainstage speakers include:
In addition to our mainstage speakers, Lynchburg City Schools alumni will share their own stories of creativity, determination, and the impact of change on their personal growth. Kathleen Davis, local comedienne and host of Curious History tours, will serve as our emcee for the evening. Flat Five Jazz will take the stage again providing the musical stylings for the evening.

General admission tickets are $50, granting you access to the evening’s inspiring program. Upgrade your experience with a $100 ticket, which includes an exclusive pre-event reception. All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for this event unless otherwise stated. All ages are welcome.
Videography and audio recording during the performances are prohibited. Photography of the set on stage is allowed pre-show, post-show, and during intermission. But we do ask that you show our designers and visiting performers some love by crediting them (and by tagging us) in your social media posts.
The Academy Center of the Arts offers a diverse selection of entertainment. Not all productions may appeal to or be appropriate for every guest or for all ages. Unless otherwise noted, our lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to show time and house doors open 30 minutes prior to show time for seating.
Parking is available on-site and throughout downtown Lynchburg. Our parking map (linked below) shows all of the free public and paid parking available. In addition, street parking is also available on most streets.
