SOL-Aligned Classes at the Academy
The Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs) are a set of educational objectives established by the Virginia Department of Education.
These standards outline the essential knowledge and skills students are expected to learn in various subjects, including English, mathematics, science, history/social science, and fine arts, across all grade levels (K-12). The SOLs are designed to ensure that all students in Virginia have access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success in school and beyond.

Passport Program
The Academy Center of the Arts is proud to announce its continued participation in the Passport Program – an arts access initiative created by the Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). The program provides free or discounted tickets to arts organizations across the Commonwealth to Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) card holders.
As part of the Passport Program, the Academy Center of the Arts will be offering 75% off of up to 2 tickets to Academy Presents performances and 75% off tuition for classes.

Support the ACOA via Kroger's Community Rewards Program!
Support the Academy while you shop at Kroger! The Academy has recently partnered with The Kroger Co. Family for an easy for you to support the Arts.
Kroger shoppers with a Kroger Shopper’s Card can sign up via Community Rewards to support the Academy. The Kroger Co. Family will then issue quarterly donations to support the Academy.
If you are a Kroger Plus Member and are shopping for groceries or fuel in Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic region, please be sure to sign up at kroger.com to support the Academy Center of the Arts!
Here’s how to sign up for Kroger Community Rewards:
1. Sign in to your Kroger account.
2. Enroll via Rewards > Community Rewards.
3. Enter “Academy Center of the Arts” or our NPO#, which is “NM398”
4. Select us from the list and click “Save”!
5. Shop, and the Academy will receive quarterly donations from The Kroger Co. Family!
Any future transactions made using Shopper’s Card will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. The Academy will receive a donation from Kroger based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Kroger Community Rewards organizations.
