Lynchburg VA center for arts, culture, and community building
This show explores the 5 stages of grief through the toe tapping and sometimes gut wrenching songs of the lyrical genius that is Taylor Swift. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance – these are ALL emotions that every single one of us have experienced. Love Story, You Belong with Me, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and Lover – these are ALL songs that every single one of us have experienced (most likely). Everyone can relate to grief and so many of us turn to music and the arts to help move through all the various emotions that grief can evoke. Whether we’re mad at the world and wanna scream at the sky, combing through the braids of lies, toss and turn and can’t sleep at night OR believe we won’t be phased and get lost in the “Lavender Haze” – we can all relate to the idea of having to do “it” with a broken heart. Life goes on but we have each other AND we have songs that we return to time and time again because the lyrics capture a feeling or a moment in time in a way we could have never expressed ourselves. Join Kendall Knight to sway, cry and pump your fist in the sky in a show that is both universal and deeply personal.
