Looking to dive into digital illustration in a fun and engaging way? Explore the ins and outs of using Procreate on an iPad in this week-long camp for teens (13-18)! 

Students will learn the basics of using the Procreate software, as well as experimenting with composition and techniques  — all while completing a number of illustration projects. This is a great option for those who are relatively new to drawing on an iPad or just looking to improve their illustration skills!

*Students must provide their own iPad with an Apple Pencil and Procreate app (Available on App Store for $12.99)

**Artwork created will also be eligible to be included in our Summer Student Art Show in our BWXT Youth Gallery during the month of August 2026.

Stephen Kissel is an illustrator and educator in Lynchburg, VA. He enjoys creating a variety of illustrations, comics, and character design for clients and also works as an arts educator in the local community. When not making things, he might be found searching for the perfect bagel, buying too many books, or spending time with his wife, daughter and pets. He also works as the Academy in Motion Manager here at the Academy.
