Welcome to “Introduction to Photography,” a comprehensive course designed to provide a solid foundation in the art and science of photography. This class will cover essential concepts and techniques, helping you to understand and master your camera and enhance your photographic skills. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this course will equip you with the knowledge to take your photography to the next level.

By the end of this course, you will:

  • Understand and apply fundamental photography concepts such as shutter speed, aperture, exposure, f-stop, focal length, and ISO.
  • Learn the differences and significance of each of these terms and how they interact to create a well-exposed photograph.
  • Grasp the importance of white balance and how to adjust it for accurate color representation.
  • Explore the principles of composition and framing to create visually appealing photographs.
  • Differentiate between portrait and landscape photography and understand their respective techniques and applications.
  • Master the rule of thirds
  • Learn when and how to effectively use a tripod and the advantages of using an external flash over the built-in camera flash.
